What do you stand for?

That one sentence is THE most important question that we should understand about ourselves. It speaks everything about who we are and the way we want others to experience our presence.

What do you stand for?

Most of us think about this in the big cause kind of way like – Peta or some political view. But that’s not what I’m talking about here today.

I’m talking about if someone came into your home, what would they know about who you are? What do you value? What makes your heart sing? What gets under your skin? Exactly what kind of life to your invest all of your time and energy into?

Find out who you are by digging into what you….
  • Value
  • Talk about
  • Persuade against
  • Encourage for
  • wrap your lifestyle habits around
  • embrace in your surroundings
  • invite into your space
  • disallow in your space
Write these things down!   Then look and see if every one of those things align with your heart.  Are there any that you need to get rid of?  X them out!

Now, is there anything that you feel strongly should BE on your list, but isn’t?

Finally.. how can you incorporate what you stand for in every aspect of your life? 

Write out ways that you can invite in these specific aspects into your daily life. How can you express them? Share them on a regular and carry them in your every day energy. Many of them you already are, but if you aren’t, find ways to do that.

Consider how you live in alignment with your values. Let’s face it, if you stand behind a healthy lifestyle and eat fast food three times a day, you may need to intentionally change how you eat. Or maybe, just maybe you actually stand behind a fast food lifestyle and need to embrace this aspect of you. Allow yourself to explore the possibilities of what you actually DO value and stand behind.

You are a living breathing essence that is here to represent this type of energy. BE that energy. We all need to enjoy the essence in which you are. Breathe it alive. Live it. BE it!
